Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Kaitlyn Lawrence who was born in Corbin, Kentucky on June 26, 1989 and passed away on September 23, 2005 at the age of 16 in a car accident. Kaitlyn was a junior at North Laurel High School. She was a member of the award winning North Laurel Cheerleaders. She became a member of the varsity squad when she was in the 8th grade. Kaitlyn had 3 big sisters Heidi, Stephanie, and Jennifer and 3 brothers Geoffrey, Travis, and her twin brother Kristopher.
Kaitlyn was always full of sunshine and loved life and all the new things it brought to her. North Laurel will never be the same without her and the sun will never shine as bright for her family and friends as it once did. She has left us with so many wonderful memories and so much sadness we will never be the same again. We Love You Kaitlyn

                  Our Angel

Do you know the Angels weep in sorrow for us who are left behind
But they let the sun shine again of happier times to remind.
They allow the sky to quickly clear after the last rain drop falls
her solmn tear.
They'll lead her into the purest of light and wash her of all
pain and fright.
Our tears that we shed and our thoughts that we think
Our sorrow we feel in her loss are all ways we remember
the glistening happiness in her eyes behind the ice cold frost.
We'll never forget.
Perhaps that's why we cry, to keep her beautiful memory alive.
Her golden wings will glide her safely to the luminious
gates of Heaven.
Never again alone or forgotten on a throne in our hearts, Our Angel.

September 23

Because of you, I love a little more.
Because of you, I take time to give an extra
kiss good-bye.  Because of you,
I have a new favorite song.  Because of you,
there may be dust on the window sill,
and I don't care.  Because of you,
I live today, before I worry about tomorrow.
Because of you, I still believe in rainbows.
Because of you, now I can help or listen more.
Because of you, today, I am me.

Im Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm Free.  Im following the path God laid for me.  I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.  I could not stay another day.  To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.  I found that place at the close of the day.  If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will miss.  Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tommorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.  Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don't length it now with undo grief.  Lift up your heart, and share it with me,
God wanted me now, he's set me FREE.

Her legacy
Our Special Katyshell
Kaitlyn was born on June 26, 1989 in Corbin, Kentucky. She weighed in at 5lb 9oz and was 18/ 1/2 inches long. She was born at 10:36 P.M. She was 13 minutes older than Kristopher, therefore she was the big sister. When they went to school she always looked out for Kristopher and always took up the fight for him. She never let anyone pick on her little brother. She was always the spokesman for the 3 Lawrence children speaking her mind when they felt she needed to. Kaitlyn and Kristopher had a special place for each other even when they went their seperate ways during the day. We would put them to bed when they were little and you would always find them together in the morning. Kaitlyn was always willing to help with all the things that needed done for a special day that was comming. She loved all the little kids and could always be found playing with them. She seemed to fit in with them and they all loved her and wanted to play with her. Kaitlyn pulled at everyones heart young and old. She played baseball but her love was for cheerleading. She loved to make the signs with Devin for the big games and they were so good at it. She worked so hard at her cheering getting a broken nose that had to heal and then rebroken and a shoulder injury for her efforts. She would just suck it up and go on. She was always the drama queen and full of life. She looked forward to each day and all it brought to her. As she got older her and Jennifer became more than sisters, they became friends. They had so many plans for living together at school and working in the summers together for the UCA, traveling together to all the camps and just hanging out together. She got her dream car for her 16th birthday and Jennifer got to take her for her first ride in it, Kaitlyn got to back it into the driveway wall for the first time! She traveled to more places in her short time here than most adults will ever see. She traveled to Africa and through the Western States and Disney more times than I can count, the Cayman Islands and many places in Florida. I will miss her beautiful smile, the sunshine in her heart, her saying I Love You nana, her little feet running down the stairs saying take me to school nana, her messy room and her hugs that she always gave for no reason. There are so many things to miss about Kaitlyn. I know Kaitlyn was loved by so many people because over a thousand people came to see her one last time. You just can't get any better legacy then that. If you speak her name once a day she will never be forgotten. Look into the rainbows and the stars and you will see her and it will be 2000 and Kaitlyn forever! She will always be loved and in our hearts forever.
Goodnight My Baby
I LOVE YOU
